Completely Unrelated / Re: PS3 vs 360
« on: 2008-07-21 06:32:03 »
360 games always come to PC :)
Thats so true.
Yeah I've kept in mind the fact that the PS3 is yet to see glory, and it will come ahead of the 360 in the (near?) future. There's so much cool stuff coming for the PS3, I'm looking forward to GoW3, FF7 Remake (yeah, it's a rumor, but i think it will happen)  FFXIII (i know it's coming to Xbox aswell, but PS3 will still have the more spectacular graphics.) and the already released MGS4 (I recently played through the previous 3 for a recall, i cannot WAIT to see whats next xD )
I'm sure a lot more is coming as well.
My mind is made up. PS3 it is.
Thanks guys for all the suggestions ;D

you really should man. Hey, we're neighbors! I'm from Indonesia! I've played the game, and I must say, it really is a great prequel for our favorite game, FF7.
Hey, why don't you try and buy it from playasia? Let me give you the link here:

Hey dude, Thanks!
Sorry about the really late reply, i don't come on here very often. I'll be sure to check it out ;)
(Sorry if I'm reviving an ancient post, forgot to check dates :S )
EDIT: Oh wait, its July.
 LOL
It's already out here xP
Sorry it's like 2 in the morning here and I'm not thinking straight x)

Completely Unrelated / PS3 vs 360
« on: 2008-07-17 15:09:49 »
Hi guys. :)
I've been thinking that it's about time that i bought myself another next gen console, the Wii just dosen't have much that interests me.
I've been telling myself since the PS3 came out,
"I'm gettin' that."
And im still pretty intent on getting it, however as I'm getting closer to the purchase.

I'm getting doubtful and unsure.

People say that the 360 is better than the PS3, it's sales are better, has a wider game variety, and it's games aren't just crappy movie rips and sequels.
I think that the PS3 is yet to see glory, but at the moment, the PS3 in ones eyes is seen as (excuse me) shit.

I'd like to hear 10 real good reasons why to buy the PS3. Looking forward to your replies ^^

On my last note, things i don't want to hear.

-Awesome graphics
-PS3 sucks.
-Bluray capapility
-HD
-MGS4

I've heard it all and I know it all.
Now we wait =]

believe that FF7 remake for PS3 is well on the way.
Sheez, let's hope so!
I know a lot of people didn't quite like the Real-Time engine of FF12, but i can picture that in FF7. Heheh, Cloud jumping out of the train and red target lines coming at him from the two guards. I have it completely pictured.
Anyways, back to the topic.
I haven't played Crisis Corse yet, I live in AUS and the darn game ain't coming out until June or something >=[
Either way i can't wait to play it.

It is true that Zack is stabbed in the reactor, you aren't wrong about that.
All i know is that, There is something (don't quite remember what) in the Nibelheim Mansions basement that triggers a flashback, and all i remember of it is Zack and Clouds truck trip, how they got ambushed, and Zacks death, and Cloud grabbing Zacks buster sword, and doing that funny little lego-block hand wave in the air out of frustration.
The area where it happens sort of resembles that cliff edge so i think that fills in that gap.
However from when Zack gets stabbed in the reactor to the flashback,
I have no idea what happens between those two points.
I'll look into it for you, I'm currently in the middle of a Disc 2 save file.
EDIT:
Okay, i had a look at it. It seems that after the reactor incident, both Cloud and Zack are being kept/preserved in those funny looking tanks in the mansion basement.
They could be gettin tested on or something. During their mealtime Zack assaults the lab assistant and gets himself and Cloud out of there.
Then theres the truck scene, which is pretty much Zack ranting on about what he's gonna do when he gets to midgar, totally irrelevant.
Finally, We see Zack dragging Cloud along a cliffside. All of a sudden, Zack gets distracted, runs offscreen for a second, then runs back on, and is opened fire on by something unknown. Three Shinra soldiers show up, and Even though Zack probably already got no chance, the meanies just feed him an extra few bullets anyway. =]
They leave, Cloud crawls over, grabs his buster sword, and does the lego block frustration wave i mentioned, followed by the screen trailing off to the view over the cliff, Midgar. (this is also apparently the ending to Crisis Core)
So there ya have it.  =]
Zack gets stabbed, preserved, makes an exodus, and gets shot. The End. :)

Good News:
I found my routers firewall, and edited it.
Bad News: Still didn't work
I've lost all hope. x(
Unless I'm doing something wrong with letting the ports through?
Okay, this is the current setting i have for this rule:
Source: * (LAN, WAN)       IP Start: (blank)   IP End: (blank)
Destination: * (LAN, WAN)     IP Start: (blank)   IP End: (blank)        Protocol: * (TCP, UDP, ICMP)         Port Range: 6112-6119
Schedule: Always

I have a gut feeling that i need to fill in the IP Start IP End fields, but I have no idea what to write in there.
BTW I know and have access to all my numbers so no need for the lecture of "Go to run, Type in cmd, Type in ipconfig, blah blah)
Okay. Now that i have overloaded your mind with all this info, any suggestions? :)

Yeah. (pretty late reply)
I always thought it could have something to do with my wireless router. A friend of mine used to be able to host just fine, but then he bought a better computer and got his internet connection from a wireless router, and hasn't been able to host.
UUNFORTUNATELY
I'm not too sure how to get to my routers firewall.
I'm going to look in to my routers configuration page.
Hopefully i find something.
BTW if anyone is willing to help me out here my router is a D-Link DI-524.

I'm just a quiet Aussie 14 yr old.

Bebo's not a common thing for me, but it's always good to have an extra friend. :)

General Discussion / Re: Favourite FF game in the series?
« on: 2008-05-09 05:04:34 »
favorite FF game?
crap..
you got me thinking there heh..
well my top 3 were 7, 8, and 12.
i think 10 would be on there as well, but i havnt quite played too far into it.
the things that sh*t me about 10 and 12  are the license/sphere grids.
In 7 all you had to do was walk into a store, buy what you need, then walk away.
10 wasnt that bad because all i remember is that when you unlock a new magic (cure, fire etc) you would have it straight away.
in 12 you'd have to first unlock your magick, THEN go to the store and buy it.
Best story line by far, 7
Best battle system, 12
Best "makes you wonder," 8
Best emotion and cliffhanging (a thing that i love and hate at the same time,) 7
So i think, my all time favourite is Final Fantasy 7. I dont even mind the lego block character, which, thank god can be improved with a few mods nowadays,
i also love that rock boss music, gets me fired up heaps.and who the heck could forget the chocobo breeding, racing, and gold saucer :D
with all that stuff being said, i think alot of people will agree with me that number 7 is the best.
Btw, closely followed by FF12.

17
yeah, AC did suck. a bit too short. graphics were pretty awesome
and FF12 was an indirect sequel to FFT, lol i didnt know that.
anyway, yeah square would be pretty damn stupid not to remake FF7.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez that wood be money

Archive / Switching Cloud and Sephiroth around??
« on: 2008-04-21 06:32:12 »
Hey guys =]
Recently on youtube i found a video. Search for FF7 Movie or something along the lines of that.
The guy made a tweak to his game, and when Cloud is meant to jump out of the train, Sephiroth jumps out instead, and Sephiroth chases the crazy Cloud around the world. Anyone else know of this mod?
If so, where can i get it?
I'd find it fun to be able to play the game from a different perspective.

20
lol at that.
no, actually not :|2016-17??
sh*t :P ther wil probably b a PS4 by then rofl.
wow that sucks..
anyway,, thanks for the info
btw,, supposedly in FF13 the main character is supposed 2 be a kind of "female version of cloud." if so, does that mean it
could be an indirect sequel, or just my desperate mind..?
EDIT: i thought FF13 was already out in Japan??
so i think (AND HOPE!) that you're right xelane, i would DIE to have to wait another 7-8 years *shoots self*

Yeah thanks for the tip,
i had already had it downloaded ;)
I'm currently at the end of disc one and frantically looking around my house for disc two. :P
Which means i have already gone through the chocobo races and the bike game. So all good :D
While thinking that Aeris' death is so close *CRYS LIKE A BABY*
Far out. Every time i see that seen of aeris getting stabbed something always punches me square in the mouth T_T
it sucks that she dies.
anyway, thanks for all the tips!
much appreciated

General Discussion / FF7 Remake for PS3 - Whats the deal??
« on: 2008-04-21 03:43:50 »
Well, we all know that FF7 is definately a game worth remaking,
and after seeing the Tech Demo of FF7 on the PS3 i was drooling everywhere..
I know that Square/Sony have said that it was nothing more than a tech demo blahh blahh..
I have even signed the petition for the game to be remade. i forgot where it was though,
i found the link somewhere at FF7Citadel. (google yourself)
Does anyone know any news about Square or Sony changing their mind?
