custom field model with sword
« on: 2010-06-26 06:19:09 »
so what i am trying to do is add the buster sword on the field model of AC Cloud, but being a complete noob at modding i'm not sure how i would go about doing this, or even what tools i would need.  :-\ :-\

the final product should look something like this:

and i would also like to make the moogle save point  :-P

Convert the sword to a field model (.p) then click on the torson in kimera and click add par to bone.  Choose the sword model and position it as desired.    Done.

As for the save, if memory serves me correctly it's avfe.hrc   or avhe.hrc.   Either might be wrong but I think it's close.

yes, i tried using the moogles for the save point, and it told me that the moogle had to many bones >.<

I'm thinking we go in game and kick some moogle's butt, so they wont have too many bones. who's with me?

EDIT: and as for the weapon, I have tried that but every time i try and save, Kimera seems to error. so i am unable to do it.

if my guess is right, you'd have to make the moogle have the same number of bones as the save, to do that I would assume you don't have the moogle seperated in so many peices rather just 2, like the crystal and the symbol that makes up the original check mark. Should be possible by having 2 .p files, one of the lower half of the moogle and one more of the upper half. Then you could delete the old unnecessary bones, I tried doing this before but I never applied it to the save point or anything in the game.

Or you could stick each individual part of the moogle on the save point separately, so that they are all joined to the same bone.

Did you manage to do a version where the orbs around would resemble the available materia colours?
Also is that savepoint stiff or you can go right through it?
I lost interest in working on it so I did not do it. At least I started with it but only the red color. Also Cloud can go through the save point because I'd have to edit the exe if I want Cloud not to walk through it and that part I don't know.
