I raged when I played FF12 and realised that I'd paid money for it. :(
Hey, FFXII was a good game. It shouldn't have been called "Final Fantasy" with that battle system, but it was a good game.

The beginning didn't draw me into the game so I find it's kinda boring. Maybe if I give it a try. I have to play through it anyhow cuz I'd feel bad not playing and finishing a single ff game (yeah I already feel bad for never touching ffxi =/ )

The only time I've raged was playing Diddy Kong Racing and racing Wizpig.   F*ck him...

Huh?  Wiz Pig was dead easy.  The part of that game that frustrated me was the bubble-blowing octopus thingy.

I think FF12 is a good game. Its just being compared to the other Final Fantasy before it and the gameplay is much longer and harder but it is indeed fun. Many hated it because it was like an online game rather than the atb that the old players love. Anyways would you consider never playing a game again for a long time as gamer rage? I never played resident evil 1 game since I find it hard during that time.

I'm currently boycotting Final Fantasy III DS for its difficulty, but I wouldn't say it's a gamer's rage reaction.  I don't feel angry with the game at all.  I just stopped finding it fun after all those boss battles where I'd barely win after 20 minutes of struggling to stay alive with my last character and a totally depleted inventory.  I'll try it again when I regain my guts.

Well, it's the closest any main series FF game gets to boring, but it's okay.  I'll make a point of beating it someday.  I just need to get better.  I remember thinking FFV was impossible when I first got it, but I'm a master at that game now.  Hopefully, this is the same thing.

Another game that's a bit too hard is FFIV for the DS.  The difficulty spikes are just absurd.  You know something's wrong when the random encounters cause you almost as much trouble as the bosses.  And you can hardly customize the party at all in that game - it's not like FFV where there are several genius strategies to take on anything.  Everything being foolproof actually makes the game a lot harder.

Really? I heard that ffiv for DS was easier. *shrugs* I can't really say, haven't played it.

I wish you good luck for the last dungeon of FFIII then :P You go through the two hardest dungeons of the game, one after the other, no save points, then do a third dungeon, still without any save points, and if you die at Cloud of Darkness then you have to do all 3 dungeons all over again. I recommend you grind before you do the final dungeon, I htink I was in the low 50s when I beat the game. I died to the final boss when I tried around level 47. =/ That and I didn't have the onion knight class which is OP, so get it if you can.

I hope the mention of the final boss wasn't a spoiler to you... I mean everyone knows their villains after dissidia came out. =P Wait weren't you the one who said you like to know everything in advance? lulz

I've been playing FFIII DS for over two years now and I've yet to beat it. Mostly because I got upset that I was behind on the goal of getting 9999 HP since I didn't have the Black Belt class. Now I have it and I'm just leveling up. It's just frustrating to level up. It's a slow process.

i havnt played ff4ds, but i think its mostly the same as the original in terms of numbers n stuff. as to the difficulty, (from what my friend told me), explore all the maps - you get extra items, and more random battles, thus more xp. Do all that n yer set!

FFIV DS is not worth playing, IMO. The 3D is okay looking, but I still think the original 2D was prettier. Also, the game moves slower in general, like walking speed and stuff. Also, the voice acting is completely abominable, as in I'd rather be listening to early voice-acted Playstation games.

In other words, I'll stick with the GBA version (European version please, American release has massive lag).

Yeah, they shouldn't have bothered with the voice acting in FFIV if they were going to do it that badly.  But fortunately, I haven't played any earlier versions, so I've nothing to compare this particular version to.  That probably makes the game a lot easier to appreciate :D

I know exactly who Cloud of Darkness is.  She's a powerful nudist with a brilliant voice actor :P

Going through three really difficult dungeons in a row without save points does not sound like fun.  I thought it was bad enough that you only get one Save Crystal for the final dungeon of FF7.  But now, that actually sounds quite generous o.o

In my experience, FFIII and FFIV are the hardest Final Fantasy games.  I think they actually intended the difficulty so that those people who played the previous releases would still get a challenge.  According to the Final Fantasy Wiki, they stepped up the difficulty from the earlier versions quite deliberately.

I dunno... have you played Final Fantasy and FFII? Every time you get to a different zone, even though you grinded your ass off in the previous area, the enemies in the next one-hit you. >.>"

New one that is gamer rage that I forgot till I unpacked the last parts of my PSONE. A girlfriend on the eastcoast got peeved when she was "that time of month" and horny. Me I was playing a game and told her no cause I was busy and you could probably guess the second reason. Anyways angry irish conniption fit and she threw my PSONE at my head. Broke on the wall behind me. Let's just say that was my fastest mile and I smoked a whole carton to calm down.

i have a few mgs rage moments..

mgs1: wtf, you meant to tell me that im so good at the torture part that the game thinks im cheating, but if i slow it down a tad i die on extreme.. meh..

mgs2: the jet on extreme is almost impossible to beat he has one attack that kills you no matter where you are.. and after that in extreme you have to kill a LOT of metal gears....

mgs2,substance VR missions: Hang drop catch is so %^*#$ng hard it not right. i mean really i can't hang drop catch. but i can beat the whole game on its hardest setting.

mgs3: try to shoot all the frogs, the second to last one is on a run way your on a bike and have ~ .2 of a second to get the shot off its like 400 yards away.

mgs3: when you have one eye dogs suck even more!

that is all i got for now..

They were hard on my first attempt, but I was completely new to the Final Fantasy series then.  They're the easiest games in the series for me now, although that may be because I've replayed them a thousand times.  Also, I've only played the "Dawn of Souls" port for the GBA, which is supposed to be one of the easier versions anyway.

I actually did a Red Mage solo in FFI once, and that's a good challenge.  You can fight Shinryu and Omega from FFV in FFI Dawn of Souls - now, that was hard!  But I did it!

I also did a Firion solo in FFII.  Turns out, going through that game with only one character actually makes it easier because your stats sky-rocket, especially agility and evasion.  In FFII, enemy spells deal negligible damage, so once you've maxed out your evasion stat, you are pretty much invincible.

... After beating FF1 to FF3, I am never ever playing those games, ever again. Maybe once if I decide that I need to do a 100% run of every ff game, but aside from that I will not bother. =/

And lulz doing solos is hardcore. You should try soloing as a white mage in FF1. ;D ;D ;D

Oh god... FFII has such a broken leveling system... :P And yes Evade is your best friend lol.

I break controllers by throwing them (Even if they Aren't wireless, I though them *Away* from the console :D), Punch keyboards, knee my desk (There's enough space), or throw whatever is close by accross the room. I broke my 48'' TV with a Penny once >.> Had to get a new one anyway LOL

EDIT: My MGS Rages :D (Too many to count so heres a few)

MGS1: First time I fought Psycho Mantis. Enough Said.
MGS2: Playing as...Raiden....
MGS3: The Boss (Last Fight), on Extreme, knocking her out only CQC no weapons. Oh and The End on Extreme.
MGS4: Raging Raven, Trank Kill. >_< She moves too much.

The fear with only tranquilizer darts

Use a fake Death pill, then revive throw a Stun Grenade, and then just keep shooting him with the Trank Weapon of your choice (Never Tried CQC), the game glitches and he'll take more damage then normally for some reason, and he'll be stunned longer. I managed to take him out once without doing that but that took countless deathes and at least 2 hours >_<

Wish I'd known that sooner, I spent hours tranquilizing him just s o he could run away and recover too quickly for me to stop him, hell I was considering trying to survive long enough for the place to run to run out of animals or something, that sounds like a cool glitch though, finally a reason to use that pill.

Edit: it worked!! was easier than I expected, now it's just to finish the game, tranquilizing the rest of bosses all while not being spotted.....the things I'd do for stealth camo...

No problem. Me = Master of all that is Metal Gear. Been Playing Metal Gear since I was 2 >.> No joke. = Messed up Child hood

Oh and the easiest way to trank the fury is hiding behind a corner and jumping out and just shooting him, takes a while tho.
The End: You just can't trank him. You... YOU CAN'T! Unless you unlocked the Mosin-Nagent you can't trank him in a sniper fight with a god damn Handgun. Trank Runs are easiest after you get the Mosin tho I think you need to trank him for the mosin anyway. I tranked him pretty fast in my game, cause I have badass aim on MGS in First Person.

Volgon: CQC

The Boss: Knock her down w/ CQC and Trank her w/ the mk22.

you can trank him you just have to be really good @ sneaking... (also if you hold him up you can get his moss cammo) then it gets harder...

and vulgan is really ez to kill w/ the hankerchief.

I have to say that after reading your posts, I'm very glad that I don't get gamers rage.
Sure I get frustrated, and sometimes yell. But seriously, how can you people afford to be throwing your controllers and consoles around?!

If I broke a controller I'd have to wait til the end of the month to get paid before I could get another one! And an entire console  :o Glad I'm pretty mellow - sounds like it's saving me money!

:'( Stop making me feel noob-like !!!!!! XD It toke me like 2 hours cause I never went to any of the other areas I stayed in a tree with binoculars looking at all the different sniper spots I could get at. Either way The End is a pain if its first time playing :D
