Switching out a character with another?

Hello I'm new to this forum and I know how to model. If someone could help me with putting a character in the game. I could create a cool character. What about replacing caith sith or some other kinda lame character with a samurai or a native indian that maybe could be the brother to Red XIII. Or why not a viking? Or a cowboy character like Irvine in FF8. Anyone who is interested?

Because let's face it, some characters in FF7 are very poorly designed. Especially Caith sith.

If you model it completely by yourself, or if you use a model that's a;ready in the game, I believe it's alright. But (if you read the rules) ripping models, or anything, from other games is completely unsupported. I think there are certain exceptions, but I don't really know. By the way, welcome to the forums. Your next stop should be reading and completely understanding the rules. (well, it should be you first stop).

I think Cait Sith is the least liked character in FFVII. You know what you could do? Replace him with Reeve, the dude who controls him. Might not work well story wise, but hey, it'd be fun.

Red XIII ( I always call him Nanaki) is actually a pretty good character. I liked him. Though if you want, you can try to change his textures. Back when they were still working on the plot for FFVII, Red XIII was a part of some cloning project, and his clones were Blue 15, green 14, etc. maybe you can changes his textures for that.

I can't really help, because I don't know how to model (yet) but it's just some ideas for you.

I would model the character from scratch. And yeah good ideas but a bit boring, we could be a bit more creative. And create our own characters. A character that would fit into the FF universe. What about a thug character from the slums, a body builder. Or a drug addict from the slums...or why not a whore xD

Or maybe a indian from cosmo canyon, or a samurai from wutai. Or maybe one of those black dressed guys in Nibelheim. Or why not a snowboard character from the snow village. Or maybe a caveman similar to the wild boy in FF6. Or why not a chocobo tamer...or a old wise character. Like Red XIII's "father".

What was most amusing is that his Native Americans had no backflaps on their underwear (or whatever it's called). Methinks someone had a fetish

A combination of his lust for nature and hatred of modern civilisation and the kind of romanticisation and slight paternalistic racism towards people deemed to be "noble savages" that is common amongst people like Hermoor. He probably thinks that all Native Americans alive today dance around fires trying to make it rain.
