Alright, so besides Final Fantasy games, (or Squaresoft/Square Enix games in general) what games do you really enjoy playing?

Me, My favorite games are the ones I played when I was younger. Donkey Kong Country, Half Life, Fallout (2), Duke Nukem 3D

(Yes, my dad let an 8 year old play that game), Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Baldur's Gate, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis... The list goes on. These are all games I had played between the ages of 5 and 13. FFVII was also one of them.

These are just some of the games I still enjoy playing. How about you guys? What are your favorite non-FF games?

Resident Evil 5, Assassins Creed, Prototype, Devil May Cry 4 and the one I'm playing right now is Dragon Age.

I suppose that Metal Gear Solid is my second favourite series after FF. Chrono Trigger is also a favourite of mine, although I suppose that it counts as an honorary FF due to all the similarities. The only game that I've really cared about for the current generation of consoles is Valkyria Chronicles

Besides those, I enjoy some of the more obscure "if you play these, them you're beyond help" Japanese games like Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime.

Metal Gear Saga, All Resident Evil Games, Diablo/II, Starcraft/II (Yes I got the Beta

), Warcraft III, Baulder's Gate (I & II).
Currently Playing: Resident Evil 2 (Claire Disc), and Diablo II mods

EDIT: Oh forgot one more game in Currently Playing, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake/MGS1

Oh! I forgot some! I also used to (and still do) play Battlezone (2), Dark Reign (2), Heavy Gear II, Unreal Tournament, and Quake (2)(3). Battlezone has some really big mods for it. I think all the mods I've installed for it so far have made the BZ2 file size around 7 gigs. And I haven't even downloaded them all yet. I am currently in the process of trying to finally beat the first Resident Evil (I used to get too scared to play it

)

All megaman games, I really like secret of mana and legend of mana, etc. Also like secret of evermore and Breth of fire 1 for that matter(was my first rpg)

I also love games like Forza Motorsports 3 or Grant Turismo series, anything with an upgrade system.

On the other hand I like Games like the Katamari series and harvest moon series as well.

These are just some games off the top of my head.

Mega Man - Mega Man 10 (fuck the X series, I just don't like it)

Metal Gear - Metal Gear Solid 4 (FF VII is my favorite game, and *****'s death didn't make me cry, yet *** **** showing up at the end of MGS4 did)

Shenmue and Shenmue II (FUCKING SEGA, MAKE FUCKING SHENMUE FUCKING III ALL-FUCKING-READY)

Super Mario Bros (I at one point, beat it in 5:00 flat on my NES)

Monkey Island Games (with Guybrush Threepwood? Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who spent hours looking at pixelated characters in the 90's

)
Doom

Warcraft 2 and 3 (I'm also a WoW nerd but I play 2month cards every now and then so not an addiction... anymore ^.^)
Red Alert 1 and 2 (for me, after that,i tjust kind of died, although Tiberium Wars was okay)
Oblivion(Over 200 hours of my life my lifewere... spent... on that game xD; learned a lot about modding with the PC version)
Fallout 3
THE OREGON TRAIL
Crimson Skies
Diablo (only the original, Psyched for three, but at the same time disappointed with the changes)
Metal Gear
Kings Quest

And a hell of a lot more but I just wanted to start naming games ^.^

I sorta go in all sorts of odd directions with my games. I like to often collect hidden gem games. Meaning the one's that have something of interest but most people don't know them. Examples are
Breakdown for the Xbox
Lifeline for the PS2
Brooktown High for the PSP

Other games I like are
-LucasArts/SCUMM Games(see you're not the only one Shankifer) my favorite of those being Dig and Full Throttle.
-Harvest Moon Series. Mostly Back to Nature(PS and PSP versions) and Harvest Moon DS.
-Fallout/Elderscrolls recent games.
-Risk (Yes I still have the old Risk II game disk from like windows 95 that had the hotseat tournaments lol)

I'm also looking forward to Starcraft II coming out next week

and when I get a new desktop (whenever people stop trying to take all my money) Dragon age.

Dragon age is gay as hell, played it for like 10 hrs and quit. WAS REALLY FUN at first, but quickly became less than mediocre.
