Hey, I'm not like them, they haven't have sex before and I have(with my girlfriend, whose parents behave like Dharma's, so, you can guess.)I think that it is a very gross thing. Although it is nice, but I become very tired in the next morning and fall asleep in class. My main priority now is to study, so I rejected her advances. We even had a deal to do it only once a month. It means "I am an ecchi", ecchi being not quite hentai (=perverted). Ecchi would be semi-perverted or explicit. Ish. Normally hentai is seen as perverted/bad/overthetop whereas ecchi, isn't.

fice my dear friend... i know japanese as you might remember. Ecchi do mean perverted.. it's just a short form of hentai. "short" you ask?! yeah the fact is that ecchi is the letter H. So the letter H is pronounced ecchi in japan. Therefore there isn't a word called ecchi... it's just the short form for Hentai... and thus the japanese tutor hath spake again..

errr: hell yeah, it's the japanese genes in me who takes control and makes me go beserk when i see some cartoon hardcore

I'll take your word for it that that's what it means literally in Japanese, I'm just going by anime & manga (yes, a narrow viewpoint, so what?). In that, at least, ecchi is kinda of a step down from full hentai.

Well, acctually... i'm born and raised with manga.. but i never seen that ecchi would mean less-perverted.. that must be some sort of missunderstanding in translation.. in any case it's just nicer to say ecchi instead of hentai but they still mean the same thing.. like you say "bad ass muttah" instead of "bad ass muttah fukka" hehe... bad example but it's the way it works anyway..

ecchi is pronuced the same way as the englishtalking fokls say H... hmm... eightch or whatever ..heh, so the point is, it's not a word jus a letter that stands for hentai..
If you learned anything else from mangas or animes, it's wrong.. err.. it's not right to say it's wrong... but it must be somesort of americanversion of the meaning..
