As a game in its own right: pretty good

As a prequel to FF7: shit

Ok, well I have enough 'good' games. If it doesn't do VII its justice then there is no point in me buying it. I don't know why I haven't thought of whether I should buy the game or not until now, but I am glad I asked for input first =] thank you

FF7 is a good game, its compilation too. I am at the factory where Zack previously met Cloud. You know what I think. Also, may I post here to ask questions about the game or I may do it in another topic?

Hmm...I don't know what you think, but where you post would probably depend on what questions you need to ask.  For you, I'd suggest posting in Unrelated for now, but If you have the ability to make coherent post then you should ask questions about FFVII in General.  For now, sort out what questions you have, read the rules, then decide the best action to take.

Ok, sorry, but I'm used to French, so please forgive me... If you don't know what I mean, it's probably because I wasn't enough explicit. Since I'm not used to Qhimm's forum, I ask to people who does. What I mean is a factory where Zack may enter without being detected. Cloud, Tseng and another soldier (not SOLDIER ^^) are watching the factory. Once inside, we fight Genesis (or one of his copy, I don't know because I lost here).

It's a damn fine game, both on its own and as a prequel.

It is a good game on its own, I'll give it that. It's just 'meh' as a prequel. I would play it again, but not for the FF7-related-ness.

I like games where it's easy to turn your character into a demi-god. :D

It's good, just the level up system is stupid.

As well as the Materia system, its not really like FF7 at all. When you level up your Fire in Crisis core, it doesn't become Fire 2/Fira. You have to create a new Fira materia with materia fusion.

I hated the level up system. Basing everything on random chance is a bad way to do things.

It made the game soo much harder. I was only level 20 when I finished it the first time. Sephiroth killed me so many times :(

It wasn't completely random.  The more experience you earned, the more likely you were to level up.  So if there was a 50% that you would level up during your next DMW and you didn't,  the next enemy you fight would boost your chances to 60%.

At least that's what I read somewhere.
