Possible MGS Trilogy Remake?

So me and a few friends were on skype and we found a rumor of an MGS Trilogy (1/2/3) HD Remake for PS3.

Yeah there's a good chance it's false, but then there's that little slight glimmer of hope for us all. Honestly, I think that they would be too scared to remake them, in the slight chance that they mess something up and they lose a little chunk of the Fan Base. But as we saw with the God of War HD Remake, it wasn't changed all that much from the PS2 Version. If this is true, hopefully Kojima is Directing the remakes because I don't think any other Director would be able to direct those 3 titles without Kojima skinning them alive.

I have always wanted the first three games in the fourth's engine (but with less install). If this is true, it'll mean epic happiness for me.

I would also love to play MGS1 with a more recent engine, but this is what always leads to fail (at least for some people).  If I like aspect A of engine 4, and you like aspect Z of engine 4, but they only include aspects A through W, then you and anyone who enjoyed aspects X, Y, and Z will suffer.  Its the way Squeenix has been torturing us for the past few years.

Though there are some things that just won't make sense like a Camo System in MGS1/2 to me doesn't make sense since 95% of the games are indoors and when they are outside it's only in a Grey, Orange, or White Background.  Though I'd rather them keep the Engine they already had in them, not MGS4s. Maybe a little bit from it like equipment and such but maybe not even that.

Like the 3rd Person Aiming thing they had in MGS4 I could do without, though if they add it in I wouldn't mind, but once again it wouldn't really make sense to me, I can't even imagine them in that kind of Format.

Though there is something I'd LOVE TO SEE.

Keep in mind, when most people say engine, they mean the backend, not the individual features. MGS1 with the graphical fidelity of 4, as well as an optional 4-style camera (it'd be blasphemy not to at least include the original camera), etc. Basically, all the technical, behind-the-scenes stuff in 4, not necessarily the stand-out obvious features like a camo index a Drebin shop.

No more remakes please...  it is getting as bad as Hollywood for lack of creativity.  I saw what they did with twin snakes and it was crap.

The only one i would give a sh*t about for a remake is 1, twin snakes was disgraceful in my eyes, especially the matrix like cutscene remakes and how the voice actors didn't do their accents. MGS1 had amazing voice acting, twin snakes did not. And the cool music from the first was ditched in favor of some techno-like crap that wasn't even well composed.

MGS2 and 3 don't need a remake in my opinion, 3 still looks good, 2 looks good enough but i hate raiden so no thanks anyway.

They would probably screw it up, but it would still be great to look at probably.

I dunno from what I've heard those guys have been working on a second shadow of colossus so I dunno how they could have been working on this too. I personally would rather play a new one. This was definitely one of my favorite games of all time so either way I won't be upset

Also MGS remake would be sweet but i dunno what to think about it right now.

I never got a chance to play Shadow of the Colossus or ICO >_< I'm gonna try to pick them up somewhere sometime this weekend though.

But the remake trailer from what I saw of Gameplay videos for the PS2, it looks pretty much just upgraded Textures to me, which is though good enough.
