when i run the game i get sound on all the cut scenes and i get all the sound affects but after a while the sound will stop so i installed ff7music and tryed that. ff7 music would crash with a wave_out error similar to other users on the forum. i dont know what to do!

Set ff7music to use out_ds.dll instead of out_wave.dll. Some users have reported better results with that.

Have you tried restarting your computer? Sometimes a rogue app can kidnap your audio, and restarting can clear it up.

Also, if you have any unusual sound drivers, such as SRS HD Audio Labs, or any ASIO drivers, consider disabling them, they can cause issues as well.

restarted computer and checked for these drivers and didnot see any but i know when i plug in my Mbox 2 the ASIO drivers are used for guitar rig 4 but otherwise i cant find them anywhere other than in guitar rig. they are not mentioned in the device manager
