PSP PBP files
« on: 2011-04-10 22:46:19 »
I want to know how to create *working* PBP files for my PSP. For that long, I have been able to create a PBP that makes my PSP reconize the pictures of Crisis Core (because this is this game I want to convert). Do not worry about illegality, ripping from our friend's PSP a game of yours is allowed I believe. But i didn't remember that PSP Go's don't accept UMDs before having it. Well. I can create a 18-Mb PBP but the entire game is more than 1 Gb so it doesn't work. Any idea on how I can do that? I roamed the net a lot but didn't find anything.

2) I am forbidding the discussion of ripping models from PSP games.
his includes all GMO related discussions. The reason why is this; To get the data in the first place requires a good deal of piracy. This includes modding Sony's firmware on a PSP to have access to the UMD drive, (a "reasonable form of copy protection" per the DMCA.) or downloading an ISO from a torrent. Both are illegal to do in the U.S. (Where I live).

Keep in mind I am also guilty of this and will not be doing this anymore.

Ripping games also requires modified firmware, thus not allowed to be discussed here.

I believe you didn't quite understand. I mean, I *do* own FF7:CC by an UMD *but* I have a PSP Go so I cannot read it. I borrowed my friend's PSP to copy the files to my computer and I want to convert them to be able to play it on my PSP. Isn't it against the rules?

He means that ripping involves using modified PSP firmware. For legal reasons, we can't permit discussion of anything involving those cracks.

What you're trying to do can be found many other places.  Even though the game is a Final Fantasy, you'll probably want to search/ask on a forum that specializes in PSP stuff.
