Aalis custom graphics
« on: 2011-04-23 13:29:52 »
Im sure it has come up before but i couldnt find anything specific to my problem.

I installed ff7 with no problem, i played it to first save and saved the slots. But when i come to install the custom graphics nothing works. for sarter the save files arent even with the program files (win 7 64) theyre not even in program files. Looking at tutorials i notice half my files have been moved. For example, all i ever have before after installing the mod is folders in data. I have the version of the game that came with 4 discs. so not the ultima version right? If anyone can help or redirect me it will greatly appreciated!

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/programs-files-vs-program-files-x86/7d631676-e688-472a-a1bb-eefccfeca6d7

program files (x86) sir is where they are located (barring you didn't choose otherwise)... Under program files (x86)>Squaresoft>Final Fantasy VII

Hope this helps :)

My game files are not setup like other peoples like in tutorials. i have some files and folders in program x86 along with the exe i found these easily but my save files were in C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII along with a few "p files"

Sorted! Ok if anyone plans on using the mods make sure to install as admin. for some reason even though i am admin i still had to click run as admin when i run the setup. Hope this helps others.

You need to install it as administrator or something like that.  Virtual Store won't allow you to do some things you need to.

Or something like that.

EDIT
And after looking at the latest deleted posts I noticed yours in which you found the solution to yout problem, posted it, then deleted it.  Why would anyone deleted solutions to legitimate problems.
Again, I'm losing more faith in humanity. Nevertheless, I've restored your helpful post eventhough it now makes mine look completely retarded.
