i have following your council, and have install the avalanche mod, i started the exe of the game and give me this error:

my version of ali graphic driver is the 0.6.10b.
and have install before the GUI v2.0.5 and after avalanche High Res beta 9, i wrong?

So either versions works fine? Alright.

And if he's using the Ultima Version, wouldn't he be getting a different error message that mentions about the disks needs to be inserted in?

No, he's using dummy images. These dummy images comes with the Ultima Edition. How do I know that? Well, I downloaded it to see the difference with the original... here's one of them.

and after checking your configuration file, total9999, it appears that there's some things missing, changed or it's a different version as the error message stated.

So everything's working fine? Now just delete these foolish Dummy images and download kranmer's AnyCD DLL and load it with the driver.

i return at the 0.6.10b, and compile manually the lgp files with the textures of avalanche mod, is more stable.
with this aali have a problem with visualizzation the scenaries.

It's forum policy to not help pirates - however nice you or they may be, unfortunately.

First and foremost... split this from magochocobo's battle scenes in order to keep his thread nice and tidy.

2nd. We never, EVER help pirates out. If you're smart enough to download it illegally, you better be smart enough to keep your mouth shut... because...

Thirdly, the old "warez user" status has been reimplemented, albeit with a new and hopefully more obvious twist to it. In addition to the avatar a new "pirate" moniker is also given. These pirates will be allowed to continue socializing with everyone, however, it is our hopes that the huge ass avatar will act like a sort of Scarlet Letter and repulse people from helping them with their broken, illegal game.

If said pirate continues to seek help for his game, thus crowding the forum with useless repetitive posts the warning system/bans will be used.

There will be no grandfather clause to this. I can think of at least 2 other people off the top of my head that don't have the game through legal means... they are safe unless they once again make it apparent they're pirates.

Because you pirated the game. 'Ultima Edition' refers to the most common rip of the PC version.

We don't provide support for Ultima users. One reason is legality, but the second is more pragmatic - ultima editions can vary, and some have content removed to reduce download sizes. These changes could make the game buggy, so we can't provide help to their users.

The "Ultima Edition" is an illegal copy of FFVII. It's buggy because its creator(s) decided that some things weren't needed when they really are. Most mods don't work with it and no one here will help adapt their mods to suit it because we don't support illegal copies. Go BUY a copy and we will help.

Ultima Edition is not an official release. The latest official release of Final Fantasy VII is patch 1.02.

It's not a matter of working or not, but a matter of legality. Do as you wish, I don't mind, but don't shout at people that you downloaded piracy.
