Invalid polygon
« on: 2011-06-13 00:40:13 »
Heya all, I recently started looking into the ff7 pc mods.  I fresh installed ff7, updated to 1.02, installed remix 2.5.1, and ff7 music  Through multiple versions of the aali opengl I am still having this error when I summon Kotr which causes my backgrounds to be very glitchey:
Error: invalid version in polygon file ff7/data/battle/summons/knights/knight03.p18
When looking at my folders, i cannot find that directory path anywhere.
Installed onto vista 32 bit using all of the default locations.
Any help would be appreciated. I have screen shots from fraps if needed.

I also have errors. Such as ERROR: invalid version in polygon file STAGE67.P11 (the brown area around Midgar and near Junon).
Also, some textures don't show when I use certain summons. For example Neo-Bahamut blast doesn't show at all; Bahamut Zero's blast doesn't show when it enters the sky right before blasting.
There are probably many more errors/missing textures like this but I've only tested with these 2 summons.
I hope it can be fixed. :( Thanks.

Are you using Grimmy's Upscaled Magic Textures?

Well, first I was installing mods individually but after a while I just decided to use Bootleg and just everything that was in red. Then I made some arrangements and now I have FF7 just like I wanted except this problem. So, about the magic textures the only thing I saw about it on Bootleg was the one with the files called data.7z. so I don't know if that's Grimmy's or from any other. Also don't know if any of Magochocobo's files I downloaded has magic enhancements.
But should I install Grimmy's Upscaled Magic Textures alone now so I can make my summon's magic attacks fine?

There are some glitches in Grimmy's Upscaled Magic Textures.
I'm working to identify them, but there are a lot of files to sort through.
And yes, the data.7z files are the magic textures.

Hum, so I guess I'll have to wait for a new version then. :) After all this time will it really be made?
