Input Config problem
« on: 2011-08-19 08:44:26 »
Hi all, me again. I'm having another problem, only not so bad as the other.

Seeing as I couldn't use Aali's driver, I decided to download some mods that directly replaces models + some other's which I'll list here.

YAMP (All mods included except CS Mod)
Hand Patch Mod
APZ Cloud
Higher Quality Cloud by Dreakon

I use the arrow keys on my keyboard to move. My left arrow key works correctly when trying to walk, but when I try to run it does nothing. If I configure it to numpad, it does work. I really hate using numpad to move, though. Is there a confliction going on or a file I can edit to make this work correctly? I've tried uninstalling and replacing files with the original one but the problem remains.

Furthermore, could I also have some input on the files if they're suggested for use and/or other mods I could use that would not require Aali's driver?

Edit: This thread may be closed. I've re-installed the game. I feel bad having to keep asking questions about trivial problems when I myself have not contributed nothing of worth to the community. Thanks anyways, guys.

Do you have the 1.02 retail patch?  if not, i would recommend getting that (see PitBrats Bootleg Installer Post) and see if that helps....

Yeah, I have it installed.

Also what exactly does the installer do? (Downloading atm) If you're not already aware, I'm unable to use Mods that require Aali's driver as my computer's GFX card can't handle it, and from reading the post, it seems it helps install the Remix which sounds like most, if not all, of the mods require the Driver. Or is it basically an installer that helps you install mods that you've downloaded?

Alot of the mods require aali's driver I'm pretty sure...  without it you don't have a mod folder to put all your mods into....  you also need the opengl.cfg to make game run smoothly.  I'm sorry to hear you don't have a CPU that can run this game modified.  It's well worth saving up for a new computer just to play this game imo.

Yeah, seems the only way I can run it correctly is with the 320 resolution. Ah well, just a few more weeks for another computer...

If you have some powerful computer, you might consider downgrading, cause Aali's driver won't work.

Oh. Well, if you look two threads down, you'll see that my problem *isn't* a powerful computer :P

(Btw, your Avvy quote is so true. I may be 24 but I grew up listening to them cuz of my dad)
