Quick intro, I first played FF7 on my roommates PSX when I was in college. Almost destroyed my relationship with my girlfriend at the time because I played it so much. When we later got married, the best present she ever got me was a PSX and FF7. I've always loved the game, and have enjoyed playing it at every level (the first time, just trying to beat it; later attempts included grinding for mastered materia, Gold chocobos, etc.), and on every system (PSX, PS2, PS3, and PC). I've recently installed this game on my PC (using the version I bought at Walmart in like 2000) and have modded it with Avalanche & PRP. The game is just wonderful with these renewed models, menus, textures, etc.
However, as I was getting all of these changes to work, and trying to install Aali's driver (couldn't download for a few days...finally found someone that posted an older driver), I noted that Aali stated the sizes of the official disc ISO files. I checked my ISO files and they are different than what he (i'm assuming Aali = male) states on his site. However, I clearly have a functional install (just made it to Junon) at least for Disc 1.
The point is...Aali states the ISO file sizes different than what I have. Aali says the ISO files should total 2.2GB (and the torrent he linked to confirms what he says). However, the ISO files that I made from my own official disks total only 2.00 GB (2,155,108,352 bytes).
Perhaps, I'm getting hung up on something that doesn't matter (because my install is working), but I'm just wondering why there is a difference between my ISO file size and what Aali says are the official ISO file sizes.
