Sound Effects not playing :(

I have come round to installing final fantasy 7 again, I have installed the 1.02 patch and the game runs perfectly fine apart from there are no sound effects.

Ok i have realised i also get not battle music either.

I want the original sound effects not some crazy new ones someone has made up.

I am running windows 7 and my computer runs an IDT Audio codec.

Just to let you know im no computer buff

I have installed the aali graphic mod, now the game doesnt play movie music as well as no sound effects.

Run FF7CONFIG.EXE as administrator and configure the sound driver.

Yeah i have run the config and done everything in Ugerstl guide, to i need to download the ff7 music thing everyone is talking about? I have deleted the # from the ff7_opengl.cfg file, now the movie music plays but the ingame music and sound effects dont.
