Windows 7 x64 Install not opening FF7 (Solution)
« on: 2012-04-26 22:07:48 »
Figured I would post this that maybe someone will see it. I wasn't able to find anything from searching.

I was searching forever and people weren't able to come up with a solution. Some said run as administrator, disabling UAC, Compatibility mode, ect. After a restart, people said it would fix it. Except, once I rebooted, I opened up my browser to go back to searching for other fixes and then I tried to run the installer. Didn't work, upon closing Google Chrome, the install worked flawlessly.

TL;DR: Close Google Chrome and you can install it.

Good to know. I'm not really sure what Chrome could be doing that could interfere with this, but if it works it doesn't much matter why, as long as we know how to solve it :P
