Just bought FF7.. help please.

I just bought FF7 from Square website and whilst installing messed up and had to reinstall. Will my serial key work again, will i have to activate it again? if so how do i go about this.. Thanks.

It should install again without a problem.
As long as you don't modify the registry, it remains activated.

Once you install the game, make a backup of the install folder.
It won't work on another computer or if you reinstall Windows, but it's a quick way to recover from a botched mod.

I was installing it and it gave me an option to further install something extra, it didn't seem important. I uninstalled what i'd installed prior, and started again, however I had put the serial key in.. what will the consequences of this be ?

As long as it's on the same machine, it won't use up any of your activations. This game uses SecuROM, and I don't know how many activations you get, but it should be possible for them to revoke old activations if you use them all up for whatever reason; this has been done with SecuROM-protected games before (Mass Effect comes to mind).
