i recently purchased ff7, the non disk version. i am trying to mod it but i can't get aali's mod to work, it always says cannot find registry key ive changed the ff7 folder privileges and even tried running the setup as xp service pack 2. but when i look into the registry, there is no ff7 folder in the wow6432node. the registries end up in local settings i think. please help! i want those cool mods

Heya, read and follow the Tutorial: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.0

Aali's Custom OpenGL driver is included in the Bootleg installer. Bootleg will convert your game to the old version first and that will allow Aali's driver to work. It's not a simple process for a first time, so the tutorial is extremely helpful. Good luck, don't get frustrated, it does work provided you have a computer system with win7 or 8 and a dedicated graphics card.

i hope it's ok to post forum links, its not a download, just another forum.

turns out i had the new 2012 release and this forum has a program link that converts it back to the older style. my registry now shows up and the mods now work. woo!

and thank you for the reply

That forum is linking to tools created by users originating here. Template provided a better tutorial which can also direct you to who to talk to when/if something goes wrong.
