black screen at startup

So like many others i have a black screen after the initial logo. Could not find the same post with the same app.log that i have, so here is mine....

What Catalyst drivers are you using?

I am using 13.4. I just found another thread stating that the shaders did not work for this version, so i turned it off in configurations. I was able to run the game though it was glitching and the sound would cut off after a few seconds. Actually, the sound effects worked but not the music.

One step at a time. First, you need to uninstall and reinstall your drivers using the Catalyst 13.5 BETA2 installer.

Do that, then report back how the game runs graphically. Then we'll move onto other things after that gets resolved

uninstalled then installed new 13.5beta2 and turned on "Shaders" and it seems to be working fine with the music on as well. Two side-notes though: First, is the shaders supposed to make the game darker? it almost seems alittle too dark. Second, now that i uninstalled my old drivers and installed the new one, my browser seens to be somewhat glitchy around the tab area in chrome. Do you know what the cause of this may be?
