Difficulty mode problem
« on: 2014-02-19 13:17:20 »
I followed Tifa's guide to modding and downloaded the entire mod pack and loaded Tifa's personal bootleg preset. When the hardcore difficulty mod came up, I chose not to patch it and keep the games original difficulty setting. Problem is after the mod installations, the difficulty still seems to be higher than the original. Is there any way to use the mods without having the game become more difficult? Thanks.

Choose anything that doesn't raise up the difficulty in the BFE.

Also, if a program pops up for Bootleg, you MUST patch it.

Thanks for the reply! I went into BFE and found normal mode under the Game tab. The patch that I quit was the Gjoerulv's Hardcore Mod. Looks like this time it won't prompt me to install it. Thank the heavens :)

No problem. If something pops up in Bootleg to install and you don't want it, start over. Not installing it can result in weird results.
