Bugs reports for the current Bootleg release

This thread is to log all current bugs of Bootleg, to give us a better chance of fixing them. Please make sure the bug currently exists, and is caused by Bootleg and not a mod.

When reporting a bug, please precise what it is and how to reproduce it.


Current known bugs:

Bug: HQ Highwind always installs, regardless of the option chosen.

State: Cause known

Note: Code doesn't return after simple highwind install, so HQ always installs last.


Bug: Field Cloud Without Sword (Bloodshot) will install Field Cloud With Masamune on the world map.

State: Not looked into


Bug: Red XIII Avatar doesn't display correctly (seen in Wutai). -reported by shockmanz

Note: Probably mixed texture with save point's "red.tex". Does renaming fix it? To check.

Aeris Revival is one of the most reported mods for not working. I don't necessarily think it's a Bootleg issue so much as it's a mod compatibility issue. The thread has recently been revived (pun intended) with chat from others on compatibility, so we should look into it as well. I think it'll need similar features like N7, where we need to black out other mod options when it's chosen to force out any incompatibilities.

Hi,  this is my first time posting so I hope this is the right place.  I just followed the tutorial and everything is working fine, but when I get to the guard scorpion fight,  the timer is 10 min instead of 30.

I'm using 2012 version from steam.  Windows 7 64

It was never 30 minutes. It always was 10 minutes, regardless the version.

I am having problems with bootleg installing the music. It seems to only install a few files and I cant find ff7music to configure it manually after. It happened when I downloaded a more recent version of tifas package. I dont know if that has anything to do with it

Seems like you fixed your issue. Bootleg is undergoing a complete rewrite, and bug reports for the current release are not of any significance. I cannot fix it, and it won't be present in the next release.
