I put the PrC and WaMa in the same folder and in the final fantasy folder, run the program, create scene.bin and corrected the scene.bin, close the PrC and start the game. And it doesn't work.

since my safe file is placed after i fight the "Sample: H0512" and that is before i tried to fix the bug do i need to replay the game from the start for the fix to work? or i can just continue?

when i open the PrC again it seems the program told me that the scene.bin is incorrect again. so it seems i really need to start from first again :'( or is there some other way?

You don't need to start a new game for the changes to take effect, and the tools don't need to be in the same folder either. What's likely happening is either PRC doesn't have the appropriate writing permissions to actually alter your kernel, or it's updating a separate kernel on your PC. If you have a Bootleg installation in a different directory, but the vanilla FF7 files are still in Program Files, then the tool will be updating the vanilla Kernel rather than the Bootleg one.

For instance, if you have FF7 Bootleg installed to C\:Games but there's another set of FF7 files installed in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Squaresoft, Inc then the tool will be updating the kernel in that Squarsoft folder rather than the Bootleg one. If that's the case, go into the Squaresoft folder and copy-paste the kernel out of there and into your Bootleg files.

Try running it in Administrator mode. That ought to let you write to the correct file.

this is where i put my FF7
F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\
and there is folder in "FINAL FANTASY VII" called bootmodes, in there there's a lot of sub folder with a lot of scene.bin
in folder FF7_HC, FF7_LW, FF7_NM, etc, etc. and there's me_ae, me_ae_id, etc, etc
is there any spesific folder that i need to fix the scene? Since the one in
F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\data\battle
scene.bin is unrelated to the bootleg one i think?

And i did run it on as admin from the first time :\

Code: [Select]
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

and this error suddenly pop up after i move the PrC and WaMa to other folder FML.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Did you open your scene.bin file first? That's necessary to run the fix routine.

I don't want you to give up. I need to know why this isn't working. I'm just not sure what else to suggest.
Does it give you that error after clicking that menu option or do you get a message first?

when i run PrC it asked for which scene.bin to choose(always) and then when i try "create SCENE.BIN" the "check scene data in KERNEL.BIN" pop up, I click yes, the error pop up saying "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. if you click quit, the application will close immediately.

Index was outside of the bounds of the array."

no matter which scene.bin i used the error says the same.

You might be comparing it to a modified KERNEL file. Are you specifying the file or does it not give you the option?

it doesn't specify any kernel.bin file just asking to choose which scene.bin file, there is the import item names from KERNEL.BIN/kernel2.bin. which i don't know what that does and i never touch it.
