Tonberry 2.04 problem
« on: 2015-11-23 14:58:08 »
Hi guys, new to modding and I just can't seem to get tonberry 2.04 to work. I have followed all available instructions (youtube and qhimm OP) for both the tonberry and other mods but it doesn't appear to be having a (positive) effect.

-steam overlay is off

Noted changes:
Black bars and missing text on both the launcher and opening screens
Crashes when I get an achievement (happened after beating tonberry king..... urgh)
Occasional hang ups when transitioning between screens

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Are you positive the overlay is off?? Make sure you go in Steam/Settings/In-Game  and de-select the overlay check box.  The issues you're getting only happen with the overlay.  Also - if you turned it off and it didn't fix the problem immediately, it's due to Tonberry's Cache -- try quitting/restarting Steam and then give it another go!

Actually I think I might know what's happening... your folders are wacky.  There should only be two letter file names in the /textures/ folder -- the other folders you have are subfolders... so for example, all of the "char_xxxxx" folders should be inside the "ch" folder, enemy_xxxx should be inside "en", sum_xxxx should be inside "su".

Fix those issues and it should fix your problems!

Ahh wonderful, that seems to have fixed it  :) Thank you very much for your help and I'm looking forward to playing through the game again with the improved visuals
