FFVII crashes at launch

Hey, I'm having trouble with the 7th Heaven mod. I can run the game fine if I launch it directly from the .exe. I can even launch it if I activate a mod and select no changes, but when I configure a mod and change something, the game launches, and crashes immediately. I already verified that the directories are pointing to existing folders many times. A message pops up saying that there was an error. Here is the APP data I found:

Do it one mod at a time and find out which one is crashing it. Thats where I'd start

I assume the problem is the midi sound. Why don't you use the vgmstream plugin of Aali's driver?
