Getting no sound (Any advice please?)
« on: 2019-03-03 00:47:44 »
So I'm not sure what's going on but after converting FF7 and downloading mods and setting them up I'm getting no sound whatsoever in game. I've gone into FF7Config.exe and made sure to select my speakers and tested it and it worked but once I'm in game keep silence. I hear a beep when it goes to boot up the game but nothing. I have also made sure the music plugin is on vgmstream. As far as I can tell everything is setup how it should be. I'm no stranger to modding games as I mod the heck out of Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.

Here is my load order:

Field Models - Objects
Animations
Battle Model - Characters
Battle Model - Enemies
Battle Textures
Field Models - Main Characters
Field Models - NPC Characters
Media - Movies
Media - Music & Sound
Menu Avatar and Backdrops
Spell Textures
The Reunion
World Models - Characters
World Textures

Any advice please?

You need to run the game converter again and reset your sound device. Opening FF7Config.exe post game converter resets your registry keys and undoes everything the converter just did.

If you have to change anything in FF7Config, it always needs to be launched from within the game converter so that it sets the registry keys correctly. Run the game converter and choose the overwrite option to access FF7Config the correct way.

Thanks running the converter again fixed the issue.
