OK, so I've spent the past four hours trying to get 7H to work.  I can't download mods, and 7H won't even launch the game.  I must have deleted everything and started over a dozen times, with different parameters, and have followed every tutorial I can find to a tee...this is infuriating!  I am using the Steam Version, Windows 10, I have tried both the 1.56 AND 1.54 7H Installer, all under Admin, and I even partitioned my hard drive to G:\ where I've unpacked everything separate from Program Files and Users.  7H boots up and runs fine where I can interact with the menus, BUT after any mod is done downloading I get this error message:

System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'SharpCompress, Version=0.23.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=afb0a02973931d96' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Please Help.

Does this happen with all mods, or just really big ones (like the field upscales)?

I too am having this issue. It occurs with all mods big or small. I am also windows 10, but I am not using the steam version. I am using the cd version installed via tom's installer.

Delete your 7H folder and download it again from STEP 1 in the tutorial. Should be a working version there now.

Every single mod that I try to download through 7H gives me this message.  This same message appears when I try to load the game through 7H as well.  It doesn't give me any error messages at boot up relating to my folder pathways either, the subscription shows up, and I can interact with everything just fine.  It's only when I try to execute ANYTHING that it gives me this message.  Everytime.  The three mods I wanted to use were New Threat, ReMako, and Chaos (I actually really wanted NiNoStyle's.)

Eventually I gave up and applied all of the mods manually, but of course with ReMako I only got the videos (because the rest are .iro),   and Chaos character models worked but fudged up the sound.  Since New Threat has it's own installer I had tried applying it both before AND after either installing 7H or attempting to download a mod from 7H, and New Threat is just the best because I didn't have any problems with it no matter which of the dozens of ways I've toggled the order I do things.

1.)Thank you very much!  I'll report back with the results.

2.) 0_0  IT WORKED!!!!  I can download the mods, toggle them, and activate them...but NOW the game won't launch and it gives me a different error (I can't copy it.)  I've uninstalled and re-installed numerous times now, and all the same...error when I try to Launch the game.  I'll try to find a way to link to a screenshot.

3.) OK, so I checked out "Error when launching game " in the "The Big List of Bugs" and found exactly what was wrong.  Works great now! SIGH, FINALLY!
