Crashing when I download a mod
« on: 2019-08-12 06:19:40 »
When I finnish downloading a mod 7th heaven crashes and I get the following error. When I import an IRO file this does not happen, also I can launch and play the game using the launcher. Confirmed the one mod I imported with the IRO Is working which is New Threat.

System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'SharpCompress, Version=0.23.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=afb0a02973931d96' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

This continues even after I uninstalled everything cleared registry and tried again.

Did a Windows Update just hit?  I swear I've seen this before, but can't remember if it's a WU issue that re-running the converter (and choosing 'Overwrite') fixes.

There was a rather large windows 10 update, and running the converter again does not work.

Even after a fresh install of literally everything it’s still happening to me.

Getting this issue too. No recent windows update. Just can't download mods. Been over the guide countless times.

Strife just reverted the FAQ to point to a slightly earlier revision, which should be functional.  Delete everything 7H related (except the IRO files themselves, you can manually re-import them and save the download) and start back at step 1 of the FAQ
