Author Topic: Cloud's field model weapons overlap(dynamic weapons mod)  (Read 5509 times)

I wanted to add an image of the condition, but I don't know how to use the script...
If someone can enlighten me on how to use this img /img script thingy, I'll upload the screenshots.

I'm using the dynamic weapons mod, with millenia models.(7th heaven 2.0)

The problem is, whenever Cloud has to hold his sword in the field, Cloud holds the buster sword instead of the dynamic weapons model,
and the dynamic weapons model overlaps with the buster sword, but only the shape is intact and the color is white.

Can anybody help me with this?

1. 7H > Settings > Profiles and post the profile details. It’s best to see the load order and configurations.

2. It could be a conflict with NT IRO because I only edited Dynamic Weapons to work with the Qhimm Catalog. Nothing outside of it was tested in combination. The latest NT 1.5 is in the Qhimm Catalog - Gameplay, so if that turns out to be the case, you should download and use it. NT 2.0 is expected to release the end of this month, so I’d recommend holding your playthrough until then.

I'm not sure it's a conflict with NT IRO, because I saw Maximillion Dood's(a youtuber) playthrough,
and he play with NT IRO and it works fine.
but NT IRO 2.0 COMES OUT THIS MONTH??????????
I'm definitely gonna wait for that!

At the moment, I'll take your advice and try out the gameplay mod

I think I found the problem.

It's because of the integration of chaos and field model mods.

I realized that Max dood was using the old 7th heaven, and his weapon models were vanilla.

Apparently, when you use the new integrated field models mod in 7th heaven 2.0,
if you set a weapon's dynamic weapon option to 'no change', it doesn't show the vanilla model, but rather erase the sword on Cloud's back, essentially the same as not using the dynamic weapons mod.

I don't know if this is only happening to me, but it seems to be the case.
I searched, downloaded and imported the old chaos mod(because it doesn't show in the 2.0 catalog anymore) manually,
and now it shows the texture of the sword rather than just a white colored model of it.

But the vanilla buster sword still overlaps with the sword I equipped(the force stealer at the moment).
I guess if I get the old field model mod, I'll be able to solve the problem.
I'll try this when I get the time to do so.

Under Dynamic Weapons, if you set Cloud’s model to No Change, then you must enable his non DW model under the Main Characters tree in order to rid the weapon completely.

No change for the sword options doesn’t mean to use the vanilla weapons, but I guess I could add that option to be more clear.

I was trying to see if I can get the vanilla models for the swords on the field, because I thought that would solve my problem - I hypothesized that the millenia or ninostyle models had a glitch for when Cloud held his sword.
Apparently, I have no clue how to have the vanilla models for DW in the integrated mod. I think that's something that got unintentionally erased when the mods were integrated?
Because I remember having the vanilla models for DW for the old version of 7th heaven.

Or maybe I'm missing something. I don't know

I need to change the No Change option to Vanilla and implement the correct weapons. It would make better sense to have it that way.
