FF7 Battle models

I have all the .p model files and have skimmed through them (WOW THERE IS A LOT!) and I never saw anything that looked like the battle models. only the game play models are to be found... can someone please tell me the where abouts of the battle models (aabg.p for example - this is not it but is the way the models are labeled.)

Battle files are in "Battle.lgp", not "char.lgp"

Stupid question

It's come to my attention.. I don't know what the battle models are stored in on the PSX. There are no LGP files.  The party is kept in
CDROM:/ENEMY6
directory (not all together).
are the LGP files archived and packed versions of the character model files in the PSX version?

I suspect they are in
CDROM:/FIELD
ths contains
*.BSX s
*.DAT s
and
*.LZS
files for EACH scene in the game
It also contains
DSCHANGE.X
ENDING.X
These seem to be executables.. hmm maybe they aren't the fabled background like this is all the darn scene data (sigh) and script information.
I think the BSX files might be the battle scene information.  DAT and LZS might be the script and background data for each.  Does anyone have a list of the 'names' of the battle scenes? would be handy to figure it out :)

There are 9 BCX files with the names of the characters (must be field models).

I checked and I only have char.lgp, flevel.lgp, chocobo.lgp, coaster.lgp, condor.lgp, high-us.lgp, snowboard-us.lgp, sub.lgp, and world-us.lgp

There is no such file "battle.lgp"

There has to be a battle.lgp in your "data\battle" folder...

There's a program that views the FF7 battle models for the PSX version.  I sent it to Fice a while ago, and it's on his website.

And yes, the Battle.lgp file is in a different subdirectory than the Flevel and char LGPs.  Look harder.

no its not in a sub directory.. i did a search for any file with the extension .lgp and it did not show up. i suspect that it is on disc 1 and is copied to hard drive on installment so square didn't need to put it on disc two again. 59MB isn't that much.. it'll finish in half hour at a decent speed.

Don't rely on a file search;  Look for yourself.

They are on EACH CD. All characters, all enemies... EACH CD. Safer Sephiroth's model can be found on CD1, even.

So they ARE on CD 2 as well, but I'm starting to think... Do you have the official version? If it's a copy, thye might have stored all models on one CD, which would make it logical that you can't find them.

if your version is official, I can't see your problem and couldn't help you out a bit; Cause I got the official and it's on my CD, right there in it's own folder...
