Remako mod transitions

do any of you guys use this mod? the images look great, but it takes a while to transition to one scene/background to another. (when it's off it's almost instantaneous). is this normal or my PC is too potato for this mod?

it likely needs a conversion to DDS texture format, satsuki has made a tool for it which he has a thread for on qhimm.
