Hello there all qhimm.com members,

I learned about your mods and forums via facebook groups that i'm following. I'm a cg artist whom is really in love with ff8. One day I started modelling the places from start and I would like to show my personal project to you. Hope you'll like them.

When it all started.. Dr. Kadowaki's Infirmary

then we are taken by Quistis to our classroom.. whilst on the corridor..

I think your renders are beautiful!

What softwares are you using for modeling , texturing rendering, camera matching, asset library maybe?

I tried to do the same area a while back:

It is fun to try to spot the differences in our renders.

I have a long time project to redo all the backgrounds of the game(900 backgrounds!). But i do that not seriously as it takes a lot of work to do all the assets and materials.

Oh my gosh! Thank you! Amazing renders and texturing!!! There are some projects about some fan made levels of the Balamb Garden. It would be nice if you were able to part with those guys to be able to make some fan made remake.

They are really good! What I love in ff8 was the static view and this could be ultra-photorealisticated so i tried to that. We all have different ways but to the same end i think

Yeah, I started modelling it, then passed to lighting and texturing from start. thank you!

Thank you so much! I used 3ds max 2021 to model, used V-Ray Lighting and materials that are all prepared by myself. Retouch and compositing with both V-Ray 5 and Photoshop together. Your work is nice as well, there is no end to beauty

Wow, did we see 900 backgrounds while we play ? didn't know about it. its a serious challenge!

Question for OP,

Have you given thought to the idea of doing all of the game's fields like this? I know tons of people would be very interested in playing the game with what you can accomplish. I know this would be a very big endeavor; maybe you could set up a patreon or a paypal to get paid for your work?
