these are all of the soundfont files that i have found in the ff7 cds and in the ff7 program files :

1. ff7.sf2 ( 3.49 mb )

2. ff7m.sf2 ( 2.01 mb )

3. ff7s.sf2 ( 556 kb )

4. lb2.sf2 ( 1.46 mb )

5. synthgm.sf2 ( 44 kb )

are these files the correct size ?

am i missing any soundfont files ?

what is the correct order to load these into creative audio hq soundfont to get the best quality sound from first to last ?

For the love of god!!!

Just run ff7 with midi data set to Soundfint MIDI, and you midi driver set to whatever works with soundfonts. Then, TEST is out, and midi should play. Then it'll work. It's that simple.

You load ff7.sf2 and lb2.sf2.  Load ff7.sf2 first.  Don't load the other ones, they are for cards with less memory.

DUDE!!!!.... are you just here to "Torment" us? 'Cause your doing a real good job. (what does "q." mean anyway?)

Look, "ignore" all of the Sfonts, except for FF7 and lb2.

When you near the end of the game.....and about to do the final dungeon, load FF7.sf2 and then lb2.sf2. When playing the rest of the game, just load FF7.sf2. And once your tired of the crappy default FF7 Soundfont, start downloading the user made ones......they sound a lot better.

That is if your using WinXp....I can't remember if your using XP or '98, with '98 you don't have to load anything, it does it on it's own (I'm starting to feel like a broken record)

At least we know "now" that you got FF7PC to play Sfonts......

and as for your recording request....Come back to planet earth. Why don't you just connect a Tape player to your soundcard..or something and record it that way? Or do a, "record what you hear" option.... Do this by Downloading the midi's I left you on another post, Configure Windows to use the Soundfont Bank, which I explained on another post...and then use a wave editor to record what you hear.

Oh...and Qhimm....the other post, although very, very simular....supposely is for FF8, this seems to be for FF7. Although....all his post seem to relate to the same things. (I truely feel like a broken record, now.)

oops, never mind...I see what you mean Qhimm.

You know, it's often considered as unwise to annoy moderators. It might come back and bite you.

....right in the ass.

And what annoys you, mofokubik?

Heh, maybe the confused the end of seph's name with aerith's and they just switched them around, so Aeris ends in s, and Sephiroth ends in th, instead of the jap way of Aerith and Cefiros.

For some reason, right out of nowhere, jari started _adding_ this to random words. I _dont_ get what _this_ is for. I _just_ dont understand.
Whats the underscore for jari?

i'm going to download someone's homemade soundfont from another one of my posts.

qhimm or other moderators:

why isn't the option for a person to delete their own posts available ? ; that's fairly common on other forums.

Originally, 'delete' was turned off because some users deleted old posts for little reason, thus ruining the structure of many otherwise interesting topics. But if this instead makes people edit their posts into rubbish anyway, I guess 'delete' might as well be on...

There are places other than the U.S. and England where people can use English quite proficiently. If you didn't know that...then..

...you should have read Sir Canelot's posts, when he first got here....LOL. Joey was kinda hard to follow too, I think....been so long ago.

Let's just say a lot of people have improved over the years....even my grammer has improved by writting on this forum...and Eidos'. Giving "instruction" will do that.
