OK, another question.
What are the anime's released about Final Fantasy, and do we get to see any of the widely known characters?
I kinda saw 2 episodes of FF:U it...scared me a bit (especially the way cool 3d animations)... eeek..

FF: Crystal Chronicals (I think that's what they're called) volume 1 & 2 both take place like 100 years or so after FFV.

And besides Chocobos, you're not likely to find any characters you know. (Apparently there's a Chocobo in FF:TSW, but I've yet to see it... But the making of book has a picture of it, so....)

Right. Chocobo in FF:TSW? I have to see that...

Although about characters - "Kaze" from FFU was kinda of a merge between Irvine and Vincent (more Vincent). And those kids..
Oh my..
To think - if they put some effort in it, and IE make an anime based on one of the FF's, with the simple, but elegant line - success without doubt.

You mean a bit like what they did with Star Ocean EX (read: Star Ocean 2 CD1), Wild Arms and Tales of Eternia? Yeah, that would rock
FFU was so unpopular, the 50 episode show (as planned) was castrated to 25, so they had to rush a new ending at the last minute.

Nope, FF: Crystal Chronicals is the game for the game cube.  The anime is called Final Fantasy: Legend of the crystals.

The chocobo appears in Aki's shirt only.

Its not that it was unpopular (allthough it probebly was), the reason the series was stoped was more money. Square gave Gonzo the money to animemate the series, however after losing big bucks in TSW Square had no choice but to can FFU due to lack of money. I mean yes, at best the show was mediocre at best. All it had going for it imo was some lovely art work+animation (standard from Gonzo) and some nice music.
