FF7 long load times when entering a battle

Hi i play ff7 on a "p4 1,7 GhZ, 648mb ddr ram, Geforce4 ti 4200 64mb
directx 9.0b windowsXp pro service pack 1.
Without any patches (i tryd to play with patches to)
And when i enter a battle its a very long load time.
and in the battle every thing runs slow.

Does any one Know how to fix this?

Try the game in Software Rendering mode.  Does it still happen?

I tryd but there is no difference betwen Sofware and Direct3d.

Do you mean it when u r in the world map?

If yes, i **THINK** you have the XP patch installed? Because XP patch seems to slows down my changing of screen and slows down the swirl in the field too, so i'm now using Final Fantasy VII v1.02 and Chocobo patch for playing, and it work just fine.

Hi i tryd to play without the Xp patch but there was no difference
but i dident use the 1.02 patch because i havent downloaded it.
i found it on a Russian page

9.21mb and the download speed was like 100b/sec
pretty slow so i skipped it.

Where else can i get the 1.02 patch

You shouldn't use the FF7 XP patch and here's why.

Have u tried AA modes in RivaTuner, use these modes and try
[may not work, just trying try and error method for you]
