Do you have any kind of antialiasing or anisotropic filtering on?  It kinda looks like you do, but I guess it could just be compression on the image.

Anyway, can you give us some info about your system?  (Video card, OS, etc)

[Edit] Someday, I'll learn how to spell "anisotropic" without having to go look it up in the control panel.

[Edit 2] Have you tried using software rendering? If it works in software rendering, it is probably a problem with your graphics driver configuration.

As Aaron said, try turning of Anti aliasing and Antisotropic filtering off, it should do the job...

FX series users should use old detonator 4x.xx. (45.3x supports 5900xt, 5700le) Since you use fx5200, you can install 43.45~45.33.  :)

Chances are itll solve it...

If you play ff7 with emulator, you should update to ForceWare driver. However, if you play ff7pc with FX series, ForceWare (I've tested 52.16, 53.04, 56.64) will cause transparency issue. So I recommend old Detonator driver for FX series.

This is why my next card will be ATI. The drivers I get for my NVidia card always seem to be unstable and they always seem to break something.

If the game crashes on you then yes... you'll have to send someone a copy of your save game.
