FF7 Chocobo patch for French version

I've been looking for that patch for a while and yet, I didn't find anything. I was wondering if there was some who actually found the chocobo patch for the French version of the game ( since my game is in French ). If not, I'd like to know if I change my FF7.exe ( which is probably why my game is in French ) to a FF7.exe ( English version ) if the Chocobo patch would work?

AFAIK, Qhimm's Chocobo Patch works on any version of FF7.exe.

There were details on how to manually apply the patch with a hex editor, but they seem to have disappeared with the FAQ forum, at least for now.
