Hmm...

i wonder if the cosmo crash is akin to the chocobo crash in that is a memory violation, except affecting people who have service pack 1 installed (as opposed to not)?  Cuz i don't, and it works fine for me...

Well, as it appears my usual procrastinating "let someone else do it" attitude didnt let anyone else surface, I'll play through the saves for either or both of you, and I wont even force a deathmatch between the two of you to decide who I help!

Email is: [email protected]

IceT, just email me your save file when youre ready, FLiXD, Ive already downloaded your save file and will have it back to you as soon as possible, possibly tonight, more likely tomorrow about this time.

I thank you kind sir  :D . Seriously if there was any other way around this bug I wouldn't be troubling you; I even considered obtaining a copy of the PSX version and starting from the beginning on ePSXe. Unfortunately, it sounds like I'll have a couple more freezes on the PC version before it's finished, as well...  :(

Thanks again

PS apologies for the chracter names

Nope It can't be.  I have SP1 installed and its working fine...No hitches at all.

Ditto to that, I have SP1 and pretty much every other little tidbit of so called "upgrading" that Windows XP has available, and Ive yet to have any specific crashes, though my game just loves to lock up and die every so often, but thats too random for it to be any of the known defined crashes I think.

Both saves done and sent back to their respective owners. And youre both welcome, just about anyone running FF7 on XP has problems, thats why most of us are here, haha.

P.S. FLiXD, I applaud you on your, umm, shall we say interesting(?) choice of character names, that made it all worth it, hahaha.

Heh, all I did was hit OK a few times though, if you wanna thank someone, thank Guns & Roses for making the music that I sat and listened to while I hit OK over and over.

Nope, I sent one each, and I swear I double checked it and got both right, hopefully I did, but it takes all of 2 minutes to email them again if I got it mixed up, so no big deal.

Ok, and just now got an email from FLiXD thanking me, so Im thinking I got them right.

I'll get you through it if u want. Email me the save file, preferably saved @ the Ropeway station & with 5 GP to spare to save there afterwards (if not, it'll have to be the world map outside North Corel)
