Max level is 99, from there, take the exp total at that point, draw that number out to all 9s, and there you have it. If thats not it, it may just total exp into infinity, but to no avail, since youve hit the max level. If Im incorrect, anyone else feel free to correct me, not as if it maters too much...

I think you actually see that the LV 99 person stop getting EXP allocated to his/her total after the exp bar fills up completely.  Essentially, it stops at lvl100, but the number doesn't increase, the bar just fills up, and EXP allocation to that character halts.

Okay, I have checked this, and actually, when you reach level 99, you keep gaining EXP. Though, your EXP bar remains full, and the "Next Level" value says "0 p". At first, I thought it did not give EXP, but when I looked at the total EXP values, I noticed they were higher after each battle. I guess the maximum would be 2^32 (or 2^31 if the value is signed - but why would it be signed ?).

Heh... maybe someone should get up to that number and try and crash the game. Maybe that guy what wants to get to lvl99 in the opening Mako reactor mission.. seems as though he has so much free time.

Isn't it called GameShark? Why take so long to cheat the game? That is what you are essentially doing. The point of the game is to level up! If you finish it early, you will be bored for the rest of the game! What? Do you want to k.o. Sephiroth when you fight along side him in the flashback or what? Absolutely pointless...

Not that I remember... to my memory it is a short sequence lasting only about 15 minutes.

Theres no save point in the flashback itself, but about midway through it it goes back to the present and you have an opportunity to rest and save in the inn, but thats not actually a part of the flashback.

Damn... if there was one we could use a save game editor and raise the level...

They probably thought of just that ahead of time, and chose not to include a save point for just that reason, among others Im sure.

Im sure it is if you know where the triggers that govern save points are loacted and how they work, then you could work with that. As for if anyone has done it yet, that I dont know...

Er... it's not possible, if you hit him you take off zero. I suspect it's been programmed so that even if you were to hit him with the best sword, or cast Ultima on him, you'd still take off zero, in the same way the dragon can't harm him.

You only have to edit Cait Sith slot anytime before the flashback.

The slot for that fight are Cait Sith for Young Cloud and Vincent for Sephiroth.

But you CAN'T kill hime (if you use him on other parts of the game using a savestate editor/gameshark, he will be controlled by the computer and he will recive no damage. I don't know if he can be affected by status... If yes, you could kill him with Death or Condemn (or Vanish/Doom  ) :D
