FF7 [For PC] Midi Question. [+ Other]
« on: 2004-08-13 04:04:47 »
Hi!  As you can see I'm new to this forum.  (Please don't bash me by yelling "N00B" <_< >_> ).  I would like to start off by thanking the people who made the chocobo racing patch!  It really helped me alot!  I thought it was the CD's fault for the crashing.
Thanks!  :D [And also for that warning on not to get that AnimeVamp XP patch.  I was { } that close to downloading it  :o   :-? !

Anyways, there is this midi I really like, and I can't seem to find out the name of it or a place where I can d/l it.  I have yet to hear it in the game though.  (Only on disc 1).  I tried downloading packages of ff7 midis, but no luck.

Ok well, the midi I'm talking about is the one in the "FF7 Configuration" [Btw, if you haven't noticed already, I'm talking about FF7 for the PC]  The configuration i'm using is v1.00.  When you click the "MIDI" tab, and click "test", a midi plays, and THAT'S the midi i'm talking about.  Can anyone tell me what the name of this midi is?  where is from?  and most importantly, where can i get a copy of this? (a midi file).  It gets quite annoying when I have to open up the configuration just to listen to it  :isee:   I'm not sure if it plays a different midi for each game though, I doubt it o-o?  I know it's not the regular fighting music, or the boss battle music, but it DOES sound like a type of fighting music.

Thanks a lot and help would be appreciated!  :P

*One more small question though:  On the PC, version, I know the games are saved in my FF7 Folder under Save, but is there a way to delete saved slots INSIDE a slot? [You know how you first choose between 15 slots to where to save, and then AFTER, you pick another slot inside one of the 15 slots (I'm pretty sure it's 15).  I want to delete some of the game saves INSIDE one of the 15 slots. (Gah sorry if this is too confusing).  All i see in my save folder is "save00.ff7", but I have several saves.  Just wanted to know if its possible /and how to delete certain saves inside a slot, without deleteing EVERYTHING in the slot.*

THANKS AGAIN!  :D   :D  :D

PS: Sorry if this is in the wrong thread section.  I wasn't 100% sure where I was suppose to post it o-o.

The song you are looking for is called "Hurry Faster."  FFOnline has it: http://www.ffonline.com/ff7/music.htm

As for deleting a save... that's not possible AFAIK, unless there is some save-editor that can do that.  You could always just save over it with a different file.  Or manually load all of the saves you want to keep, save them to a different slot, and then erase the original slot.

Heheh... if you had gotten up to the Chocobo Race Crash then you sure should have known that music was the fight music! :p
