ff7 bug on xp
« on: 2004-10-01 17:36:49 »
the ff7 game i downloaded freezes up every time i get to the CGI movie where barret tries to save dyne and the both of them get their hands shot off. Also, my ff7 game doesn't show any CGI movies at ALL, which really sucks cuz i missed cloud going down the steps on the motorcycle and i missed the cool beginning sequence. If anyone can help me out, please post it.
thanks

Not to be rude...but I wouldn't go advertising that your copy is DDL'd.  Some people tend to get antsy about that.

I've come the the conclusion that 1\2 of the people on this forum are using 640x480 as a standard resolution.  :lol:

Bluntastic: You get what you paid for.

Shame on the rest of you.  We're "Antsy" about that kind of thing for a reason.

I'm betting he downloaded a version that didnt even HAVE the FMVs /=.

bluntastic: Remove / Re-Size your Avatar... your Jedi Mind Tricks only work on the weak minded.

Also... we don't support downloaded coppies of FFVII.

I use ISO's of my originals, so I don't have to worry about scratching them. :)

bluntastic: "these are not the forums you're looking for". And your avatar has been removed. Forcibly.

The rest of you: these forums have a principle of don't helping people with downloaded versions. It doesn't matter that the game is old or hard to come by through stores, theft is still illegal and will not be supported here. I'm sooo tired of the following conversation:

A: "Wow I'm a huge fan of FF(whatever)! Square is my favorite game company!"
B: "So how many games have you bought from them?"
A: "Ehm..."

Really, the logic is quite simple. We don't buy games -> Less income for Square -> Less incentive for to translate and release games outside Japan. "Theft is the highest form of praise" may be a popular slogan on the warez market, but it's not so appreciated among those who're actually making a living from making your favorite games.

</rant><!-- for now -->

Oh yeah, and this is the wrong forum for tech-support anyway. Topic moved.
