FF8 Crash

Guys do you have a problem when playing ff8 pc? because i did.. the problem when it play the movie where rinoa and squall dancing on the dance hall and suddenly it crash to desktop. I already install the patch (im using Gforce mx4400) but still not worked. I tried to change the display setting using software renderer or Graphic accelerator and even change my screen resolution from 32bit to 16 bit it still messed up. Any idea? coz it really makes me frustated

scratched disk.

As far as I know there are no workarounds for corrupt movies in FF8. Except for finding someone who will get you to the next savepoint.

You can try playing in Quarter Screen mode....but I think it's a scratched disk. If it does work in Quarter Screen, it's a video Driver problem.

There are two versions of each movie on the discs in FF8 (a high res and a low res).  If one of them is damaged because of a scratched disc, try turning the movies to low res in the config.  (Switching to quarter-screen mode forces low res movies, so it may work this way and not be a driver problem.)
