I just noticed something kind of odd with my graphics and the Odin summon.  When I get the Insta-kill version of the summon (Steel Bladed Sword), I noticed when the enemies get cut in half I get a white box for the polygon most of the time.  I think it is due to the camera angle and the rendering process it uses, but not sure and wondered if anyone else had this issue.

  hmm... the important specs that this may be effected by:
- 2.4 Ghz Processor with 512 Mb of SDRAM and Win XP Pro w/ SP2
- SB Live! 5.1 Surrond Sound Soundcard
- 128mb Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
- Samsung SyncMaster 712N Monitor at 72Hz refresh rate
- DirectX 9.0c
- FF7 Chocobo Patch with FF7Music installed

I used to get this glitch at varying times.  I think eidoses website has a patch for it, but i'm not certain.

Do you have version 1.02?  Cuz i think that fixes it (i havnt had any problems in recent memory using this version)

If you read the readme file that comes with the TNTpatch....

You'll find that they list that as a known glitch with the FF7.exe from the TNTpatch.

Yea...I have version 1.02 + the chocobo patch and FF7 Music on my game.  My question really pertained to if the refresh rate cuased this or not or if something in DirectX caused it.  Just wondering if it was common and all...kinda seems odd that Odin is the only one I get...lol...

It's been like that since the patch.... If you use the FF7.exe from the patch. Another side-effect is the Wind. It won't move..... I speak of the part where you have to navigate Cloud over some crevices. Your supposed to walk over them when the wind dies down.... the last two have tornados or something. If you hit them, you get into a battle.

You don't see the tornados or the Wind... The animation is broken. It works in Software mode, but not Hardware. At least...the last time I checked, which was about 3 years ago.
