I actually found this forum while trying to get FF7music to work (still haven't), but it also seems to be the perfect place to make this request. Has anybody got some simple unjointed 3d models of the field characters? Or, if not, would anybody be interested in modeling some for me? See, I'm trying to make papercraft figurines out of unfolded 3d models. I'd prefer them to be solid, without any extra polygons for posing.

1) The field characters are jointed. (Actually, they are in bunches of pieces, lake all the models)

2) They are on the disk. (I'm afraid you are going to have to procure technology to get them yourself)

Heh that looks like a nice idea, paper models of ff7 field characters ... post here a photo if you make it .... although they would be little hard to model, you know, faces and hair are quite detailed and bent on many places.
Ultimate Unwrap3d looks like a good tool on making those models ... see http://www.unwrap3d.com/  http://www.unwrap3d.com/images/torque_a.png

And way how to get the 3d models from game is written here: http://mirex.mypage.sk/FILES/gamedata.txt ... you have to have game cd's to make it.

Actually, I've already got the char.lgp file out, and I'm viewing the models with Ifalna (More cheers for Ficedula!), I was just hoping that somebody had gone and done my work for me.

Looks like I'll be learning to model.

I was trying to say that you can get models used in game, those you are viewing with Ifalna, so you dont have to model the models from scratch.
