How do I Loop songs with Ficedulas FF7Music? I have selected custom songs to loop, but they don't.. :( Could anybody help out?

And.. I am currently recording all the songs from FFVII over with real instruments, I'll try to put some of them up during the day. I took all the midifiles and made notes out of them. Mostly instruments are played. But drums are sampled files as well as some instr as Oboe. But mostly it sounds good. Check it out later when I have put them up.

MP3s won't loop.  We've been complaining about it for ages, but, fice has yet to do anything about it.

The thing is, the Winamp plugin you use SHOULD allow the MP3s to loop, but... nada. *shrugs*

How to loop the songs.

I'll make this quick and painless.

Open FF7Music.
Go to setup.
Configure button in the input section. (I'm using the experimental in_psf.dll)
Check "Force all songs to play indefinately"
Set "Fade Out" time to 0 ms.

I personally would like to see if it's possible to get the overworld music to resume (and any other places where the psx music simply picks up where it left off), but I do not want to tinker too much.  This should eliminate the stupid fading of the PSFs.

Good luck, have fun, and hope for as few crashes as possible. ;)

vdig: MP3s DONT LOOP.  Midis and PSFs will, but not MP3s.  That's the problem =P

I think I suggested that already but wouldn't it be possible to make some kind of external mp3 loop plugin to work with the winamp one or something ?  There are already some that loop on the winamp page but not the whole song, you have to set "markers" in the song for it to loop.  But it shouldn,t be too hard if fice had an option in his program for a loop plugin no ?

I stand corrected.

A looping plugin for mp3... I was wondering why it would be important for FF7 since it uses either PSF or midi.  I'm sure there is an external plugin somewhere, but you won't catch me trying to implement one for FF7 mp3 custom tunes.  I'm just too lazy, and I don't know how to implement jack without a GUI.

Would converting the mp3's to wav (and taking up a stupid amount of space) fix the problem?

I don't have FF installed atm so I can't really check.

Sorry, know this is sorta old...

But here's a good suggestion!

Just open the mp3's in a good audio editor, and extend the length of the music by copying it at the point of the loop. Just about all of the music has a "loop point", and while it takes some time to get it right, it's the only solution I've found that works!

I'm pretty good at doing this, so I guess I could upload the extended mp3's that I've done. :D
