ff7 on winME - strange error
« on: 2005-03-07 15:26:35 »
Hi, I have winME and when I try to start FF7 this error pops up:

File dinput.dll is linked to missing export User32.dll:GetRawInputDeviceList

I searched net for some solution but i couldn´t find one. I update directX to the newest version but that didn´t help.

Can anybody told me what that means and how can i fix it?

Kinda, reads like some sort of Controller/Joystick issue.

Do you have any Controllers or Joysticks on your PC?
Disconnect them and see what happens.

I never had any joystick but i found something like
ESS SOLO Gameport joystick
in multimedia (don´t how it got there or what that is). I removed the driver but the error was still there, and when i restarted windows it installed the driver again in the beginnig.

Well, i don´t know what to do with it since i am dummy when it comes to technical things. It probably doesn´t belong here but if anyone can explain me how to solve it i would be endlessly thankful.  :weep:
