FF7: Battle Problems, Help!
« on: 2005-03-20 20:05:50 »
Yo,
Ive been playing final fantasy 7 for ages now and ive just recently got upto gaias cliffs. however I dont get far because when I walk around I het this battle with a black background and a yellow triangle (like the ones reno fires at you when the pillar is getting destroyed). At the top of the screen it says in this order: ENCOUNT ERROR, if you recieve this message, please contact a member of staff. If I run away or defeat it I end up back in the forgotten city. Please help!  :z

Can you give us your system specs?
What version of Windows are you using?

Also, are you using any unofficial patches with FF7, or have you tinkered with your save file with a save editor?

it says insufficient swap space

Maybe you have a harddisk full, it could be good idea to free some space.

Patches: Cosmo Canyon Patch and Chocobo Patch

Is that Cosmo Canyon Patch the one that is supposed to advance your save file beyond Cosmo Canyon for you or something?

I'm worried that something botched your save.
