FF7Music and ficedula.dll
« on: 2005-06-02 11:28:52 »
Hi everybody

I'm having problem with FF7Music...

I'm getting the classical "Runtime error 217 at 0001A780" and from what i have read on the forum it's because of the ficedula.dll is the wrong version. I have 1.51a, but it only works with 1.10.

Ficedula has removed that version from his site so I'm wondering if anyone else has it or if there is anyway to make FF7Music work with 1.51a version of ficedula.dll?

Thanks for a great forum!!!  8)

It's not removed, it should be archived...

http://ficedula.warwickcompsoc.co.uk/f2k3/php/archives.php?num=14

If that doesnt work, go to his page, click the ficedulla.dll link, then click the link that says ARCHIVE =P

Someone's already found it for you, but...
Ficedula.dll is in Ficelib, and I'm hosting all of the old versions here: http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ficedula/
(I think there is a link to that from Fice's site)

Can't reach it. I end up at http://www.100webspace.com/ all the time. Do I have to get an accunt there or something?

I tried that to. I can download it, but when I try to uncompress it I get an error. It says it's an unknown compression method. Is it because I use WinAce?

Hi, I finally got rid of that message thanks to this info, but now I seem to have another problem. FFVIIMusic doesn't seem to start any of the mp3's I've selected. Am I doing something wrong with long filenames and foldernames for the music?

It works for me now... Have you checked so the path to the mp3s are correct in FF7Music?

Yes, checked all the paths, even renamed files and put them into another folder and changed it all. Didn't seem to help at all

The only thing I can think of that might be the problem is checking if the plugins is correct... Are you getting any music or just the Midis?

Have you tried substituting in an mp3 dll (in_mp3.dll) from Winamp to see if it plays?
