Don't just copy>paste it into your dl manager, got to the site and wait until it redirect's you. It'll surely take a while but links are tested and working. So, you gotta go to the site, wait until it redirects you and then download (when you're redirected you can paste the generated link into your dl manager or download it ovr your browser, I prefer flash get as my dl manager).

So, you lucky guys with a fast connection like adsl, 'njoy while we 56k losers cry :D

oh, and if ya have any questions just post, I'll be glad to answer.

MOD EDIT: No warez please.

Here's a question:

Are you fucking crazy, or are you just looking for trouble  -_-

No one supports illegal versions of FFVII...or music probally for that matter.

Well, it was his first post, so maybe he didn't know. I know we all outwardly oppose illegal ff7, but a lot of people inwardly don't care/wouldn't mind.

I heard it can run on XP without any patches but what makes it so small compared to the original discs?

I also removed four other topics he started with the explicit purpose of providing illegal downloads for various FF games and music. Also, outwardly/inwardly or not, I don't want these forums to become a place where you go to find warez, and I don't want any talk that suggests it's "okay" either (especially since most of the stuff he posted is easily available for purchase). Call it censorship and you'd be technically correct, but the rule still stands.

Not to nitpick or anything but I have yet to find a store that sells FF7 for PC in my area in the UK and I think that £30 is a bit too much to spend on a game that was released so long ago.. I mean, that alice game for the PC is only £4! It used to be something like £25.

*sigh*

Qhimm TRIES to explain why he doesn't want advocacy of pirated software on HIS SITE and then goes on to explain how easy it is to obtain it legally, yet someone ALWAYS comes back with "Well, I don't think X amount of Euros/dollars/whatever is worth spending for it".  As if this somehow justifies illegally downloading the game.

If you don't want to pay for it, do without it . . . or at least don't openly talk about pirating it here.

It doesn't mean I was justifying anything, I was only saying for me - it's not easy to purchase it, and where have I openly talked about pirating it? That'd be interesting to know..

Anyway that's enough for one day.

Sukaeto, tell me you would honestly buy FF, game not available in shops, and  pay 25 quid AKA 50+ dollars for it, even though that game is 7 maybe 8 years old?

Because tbh, you're a fool if you do.

Now I have both the PS1 and PC versions of the game, and im glad I found out of FF7 when I did, but seriously, you *really* cant expect people to fork out rediculous amounts of money for a game. I dont know what its like over there, but unless you work or have parents that spoil you, you dont get money once your over 16.  Some people do have to resort to pirating games to play them because they are so rare and whatnot.

I myself pirated a rediculous amount of games, untill suprnova went down, but I just dont bother anymore.  Why? Because I simply didnt have the means of buying the old games.

Take my oppinion as you will, but my questions still stands. 50+ dollars for a used copy of FF7?

Gaming is not exactly a fundamental human need, or a civil right, either; I can see why people would steal food. Or clothes.

In fact I can see why people pirate software too, but using "...you *really* cant expect people to fork out rediculous amounts of money for a game." to justify piracy is just ass backwards. Do you mean that you can expect them to steal the game instead?

If you are going to steal it, at least be honest to yourself about why you did it.

I dont expect them to steal, no.  What im trying to make a point about is the stupidly high price of games.  People pirate so many because theyre either stupicly high price. A new game is 34.99 here, about 90ish dollars for americans here, and I belevie those who use Euro's are fucked over even more.

But contrasting the price of games, new or old, obviously it is always a more lucrative option to pirate, but you can surely understand why people pirate FF7.

If prices were cheaper then i beleive not as much piracy would take place.

It doesnt make sense to pay 50 dollars to some greedy bastard on ebay thats selling it purposefully for a stupidly large amount of money, JUST for the fact its an uncommon PC game.

As far as I can tell, Qhimm doesn't condone pirated versions, plain and simple, posting a link here could get the site you are now using into legal trouble. This is where you lose me though. You have to pay $50 for a game, Qhimm's probably spent a small fortune and countless hours on keeping this site up for your use and you complain that the game his forums is supporting wont let you do something that might get his site that hes put so much trouble?
Sorry, but I really dont see where your logic is stemming from  :erm:

Im not even going to BOTHER trying to elaborate. its obviously you arnt going to understand what I was trying to say.

Very likely, there's actually a good indicator of this; harder it is to copy games of given system, more they cost. At least back when N64 was still selling games, they were at a freaking 90 to 105 euros (or would have been, had Euro been in use back then). PSX games were clearly cheaper and cheapest were the PC games - at that time selling for about 50 euros, give or take 5.

That was quite a few years ago. Now PC games are selling for about the same, or perhaps 10% more, but console games are cheaper - although PS2 and expecially Xbox games are still pushing the envelope at 65 to 80 euros.

Think about which platform had to "compete" with pirated games, which cost nothing.

Yes, games are quite expensive. Most likely they would sell more if they were not so expensive. Would they sell that much more that it would cover the reduced profit for single unit sold? I have no idea.

I understand your point, I even agree with it. However, it's still not justifiable excuse for stealing. How many games must you have, anyway?

Its called redundant. Sometimes, and this has happened to me before, you end up buying a pirated version of the game off of ebay on accident. One time I ordered FFTA for GBA and when it came, it had no case, no manual, just the cartridge, but the little picture on the cartridge was different then all my other friend's tactics advance and... the cartride was slightly bigger than a normal GBA cartride, so I had a hard tim fitting it into my DS. BTW, the picture shown on ebay showed the "real" version.  (Of course the guy I ordered it from was from China, ;) lol ) Anyways, keep in mind that you could end up paying someone else to pirate it for you. Although you wouldn't feel as guilty playing it.

Ya, if you own a PS1 though, and FFVII for PS1, you can get ePSXe for Comp and play it on your comp, its perfectly legal. You can't "hack" it as easily though... or can you?

Its actually not.

By law you cant use the PS bios in any way, shape or form, other than that insteded by the manufacturer.  And that being used in a console.

Care to point out the law in question and possible precedent? ...because I'm genuinely curious and quite a bit worried, if that indeed is so.

Or is it just based on the concept that using the said BIOS would breach the EULA between Sony and the owner of that console (I assume, I've never bothered to read what it actually says on the PS2 manual...).

Ok, So it may not be law, but I know that SONY took BLEEM! in to court over it, and got a court order prohibiting their bios being used in any form other than its designed purpose, so effectively it is a law.

I may be wrong though.

For commercial reasons.

Boy, you also seem to have the facts VERY wrong.

Bleem! never used the PSX BIOS in any way, shape, or form. It was all done from scratch.

Nevermind that Sony lost every case. That didn't stop them, though - the reason Bleem! closed down was because there's no protection in the system from a company suing you repeatedly (even if it loses). Sony made sure they were buried in court costs, and that's what killed the company.

Even so, there is legal questionability around using the PSX BIOS, which is why ePSXe doesn't come with the BIOS image, you have to find one yourself to use the emulator.
