Author Topic: FF7 Crater movie crash (Read 4443 times)

This crash happens during the movie sequence when i first visit the crater from Gaea Cliffs. When im about 17 seconds into the movie it freezes but i still hear the sounds. I opened the movie in media player same deal. I also tryed updating it with the link from "the great FF7 faq" n still the same problem. I tried the duck tru filter movie enhancements n still nothing...
any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

CD scratched or otherwise damaged?

Are you able to copy the movie to your hard drive and play it in Windows Media Player? Also, if you can, try playing the movie on a different computer (maybe a different drive will have better luck reading the file), and if that works, maybe you can make a copy or image of the disc there and use that.

Worst case... Post a link to your save file and see if someone will play past the trouble spot for you.

Did you try the dxdiag trick....
or the quarter screen mode.
